Our story

We are a Costa Rican architecture studio based in Guanacaste and Puntarenas, with more than 10 years of work. We know the region, its climate, and the conditions that decide how efficient a design can be.

Natural elements guide us, especially water: its steady rhythm and its fluidity. We pair a modern, minimal aesthetic with the lush atmosphere of the Costa Rican coast.

Marée is a French word that comes from the etymology of tide.

We look to the constant movement of water, shaped by the moon and the sun, to the natural flow of the sea and the faint line it leaves on coastal sand.

Each project is singular, moving with the character of its setting and the needs of the people who live there. The design process looks for a close relationship with the natural elements around it, through architectural solutions suited to the climate of the region.

Our work is residential and commercial architecture. We take on the requirements of each brief through careful project management, staying with the budget and the architectural program our clients ask for.

Over these years we have trained our construction team so the work on site stays skilled and precise.

Today, through the trust our clients have placed in our multidisciplinary team, we have successfully completed more than 150 projects of construction.
